TWO FEMALES ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On Sunday, April 19th, at approximately 10 a.m. and at 12.45 p.m., two females who came to visit and inmate in the Point Blanche Prison were caught with trying to bring in drugs into the institution. The first suspect with initials L.D. (19) was caught with three small plastic bags each containing an amount of marihuana and a small Ziploc bag containing 8 XTC-pills.

5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY

Police are presently investigating 3 armed robberies which took place on Saturday, April 18th 2015. The first robbery took place at approximately 08.00 p.m. at “Yen Yen” Supermarket in Sucker garden, when three armed men dressed completely in black stormed into the supermarket and robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash. After committing this act the robbers took-off running in the direction of Hope Estate.

FEMALE ARRESTED IN THE POSSESSION OF A KNIFE

On Friday, April 17th at approximately 11.15 p.m. was arrested by police at the Festival Village after being searched and a knife found in her possession. In connection with ongoing “zero tolerance policy” which is in place for the carnival season, the female with initials Y.M. was taken to the Philipsburg where she brought before the Acting prosecutor.
