Our story:
Award winning Australian designer Kim Van Loo and her husband Justin Schley, have teamed up with 20 year racing veteran Steve Hammond to bring marine specialized clothing and accessories to the marine industry of the Caribbean.

After years in the stressful rag trade, designing for companies in Australia, London, Egypt, and heading up the Design Department of surf lifestyle giant BILLABONG in South Africa, Kim and Justin; Billabong South Africa’s Print and Art Development Manager, left South Africa to go sailing. Together they crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean, and eight years later and they are still in the islands.

Kim has designed the 12 Metre Challenge clothing collection, the St.Maarten Heineken Regatta Gear collection for the last 5 years, and currently designs resort wear which is sold to stylish resort boutiques throughout the island chain. www.westindieswear.com

Australian, Steve Hammond came to the Caribbean in 1992. The last 10 years he has been Operations Manager of the number one award-winning excursion in the Caribbean, the St.Maarten 12 Metre Challenge. With his wealth of yacht racing experience, racing everything from Lasers to Maxis, he knows what a sailor is looking for in comfort and practicality.
