Xuan Kong Feng Shui is the most sophisticated and advanced method ever used in Feng Shui. One might translate «Xuan Kong» by «Time and Space school». This school is also called «Flying Stars method school» and is about these famous flying stars in relation to Time and Space.
The basis of this method consist to represent a building’s energetic structure, in drawing a kind of astrological chart which is calculated by using its completion’s construction date and the magnetic orientation of its facing. The space is then divided into 8 pie-shape sectors of equal angle (45º) starting from the center and facing 8 directions i.e. North, South, East, West, North-East, North-West, South-East and South-West.
The energetic structure is symbolized by 9 stars (nammed from one to nine for practical reasons), each of the stars having its own personnality, its qualities and defaults, combined with one of the 5 elements according to the chinese metaphysic, that is Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal.
Each star has 2 polarities: a Yang aspect more moving, fluid and active, the other aspect, the Yin one being more stable, slow, material. When considering the star under its Yang aspect one call it «Water star» or «Water Dragon»; considering the star under its Yin aspect we call it «Mountain star» or «Mountain dragon».
Each sector is under the influence of 3 stars : one Mountain Star (M#), one Water Star (W#) and a Time star (T#).
The stars combine to produce particular energetic structures, their influence being positive or negative according to their proper intrinsec nature, their elemental relationship and the periode of time. They represent a potential, bad or good, but they need to be activated by internal and external forms to have a real action. In this respect, the location of doors, walls and windows, as well as the external geological formations such as rivers and mountains visible in the landscape, is very important to activate or desactivate these influences.
From these observations, the Xuang Kong Feng Shui consultant determines which of the combo are activated or not, to which extent they are positive or dangerous and in case of bad combos, which «cures» are needed. He will also be able to determine which is the best use of every sector and of each room in these sectors in accordance with the persons’ gua.
The Feng Shui consultant will first determine the Facing of the building and mesure its magnetic orientation using a compass or a Luo Pan. Once he found the exact degree, he calculates the star scheme according to the sector and period of completion of the house and copies these chart over the building’s plan.
The 9 stars except the Fifth one wich settles in the center, are all associated with one of the 8 directions in the original Luo Shou or Magic Square, wich represent the original pattern of the energetic structure of our universe, as well as with one of the 8 trigrams which are the basis of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching or «Book of oracles», the well known book of divination of antique China.
Each of the 8 trigrams represents a member of the traditionnal chinese family, Qian being the father, Kun the mother, Zhen the older son, Xun the older daugther, Kan the second son, Li the second daugther, Gen the younger son and Dui the younger daugther.
From their character and personality, as well as the relations induced by the relations inside the traditionnal family, and their relation with the energetic structure of the chart, emerge meaningful pictures or symbolic representations wich give us a clue as to what type of happening people may experience. Every combination of stars may as well be associated to things, human beings or animals, events or situations, etc… and the interrelation of all these influences, give us a lecture of the life of people in the building.

The consultant's property in Saint Martin which has been entirely designed and built according to Feng Shui principles is currently offered to sale. If anyone is interested, she or he can go to FSaSXM website to have a look and apreciate a Feng Shui property and, why not buit it.
