We tried this restaurant on

We tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who said the food was good. They were right: the food was good. Everything else wasn't. Things started off well with a polite host and a lovely little table by the marina. Our waiter gave us our menus and a chance to look them over. I will dub him "THE French Waiter." After a short while, he came back for our order. Since it was our last night, we were taking it slowly so I put in a drink order and said that my husband wasn't quite ready. Somehow, that annoyed him and things went downhill from there (shortly after this, my husband chose his meal and drink. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and my drink was brought out by someone else). We watched him seat another large party and after some time, take their dinner order. By now, we had been at the restaurant a good 25 minutes and our appetizer and drink orders (other than mine) still hadn't been placed. When he finally came to see us, we put our order in and my husband ordered some wine and the lobster dish (this is after being sushed by THE French Waiter because the waiter "wasn't through with your wife yet"). Being from the States, we are used to Main lobster and weren't sure how Caribbean lobsters were done. You would have thought my husband was asking how to become a Frenchman: THE French Waiter was as snobish as he could possibly be - making a simple explanation rude and rather frustrating. 25 more minutes go by. My husband still hadn't received his wine and the food was nowhere to be seen. We finally wave over another, very polite (also French) waiter who hurries off to find THE French Waiter. He comes back with a new wine menu and a crazy story about the order slip "falling behind the bar and they just can't get to it. What did you want?" My husband ordered again and that was the last time THE French Waiter came to our table. The other waiters had to pick up and clear our plates, take our dessert order and bring the check. All this time, THE French Waiter was waiting on other tables ALL around us and chatting with the customers. The aforementioned large party were done long before we were.

Needless to say, service can make or break a restaurant and it broke this one.
