What a pleasant surprise.
What a pleasant surprise. mooi has changed the chef, we were told - and we found the not only the looks but also the taste is much better than in recent months.
We had a good Tenderloin with nice side dishes and the Salmon Roll was perfect.
Wines and ambiance are good and the staff cares. We will be back

They definitively don't know what is TAPAS!!! We go often to Barcelona and obvioulsly we are tapas lover and what they serve at Mooi simply can not compare - or We are not acostumed to Argentinian Tapas
We hope Miti and Carlos will fix this menu ASAP
The staff is always friendly and you feel very welcome and We are sorry for them, but The Food is not good and We Will not return.

New ambiance and Spanish food
mooi has recently re-opened and is surprising with a different layout, decor and menu.
mooi now features Spanish food, including tapas and other delicacies (yes - they still have their Tenderloin - no worries!). The ambiance is a that of a contemporary, metropolitan wine/tapas bar - a great escape from the ususal on St Maarten. A very friendly Spanish manager is leading the entirely new team and she warmly welcomes you, explains dishes and suggests matching wines.

Mooi has slightly changed their menu and is featuring more vegetarian dishes like Ratatouille etc.

I do like their Salmon on a bed of fresh! vegetables. And their staff is very attentive and friendly.

My husband and I and 2 friends went to Mooi the week before Christmas (09) and it was wonderful. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was refreshing. It was the only restaurant we visited that was busy during this time of year!

Thank you for the feedback. Your comments and suggestions mean a great deal to the Mooi Team. As long as we can meet our financial comittments, our prices will remain the same. We intend to add more gourmet dishes to the menu but our signature items will not fluctuate from low season to high season. At tne moment we close on Mondays but next month, we will open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon sandwiches and specialty coffees and dinner. Our hours are 7am until 11pm. Ivan.
Still has a lot of teething
Still has a lot of teething problems. Needs to settle down. Service still not upto par - like i said - teething problems. Ordered one dish brought in someting completely diffrent from the description on the menu. Returned it twice and got the same answer. Had Brie sandwich on menu and was offered Gouda and cheese.
Otherwise - amazing ambeince. Love the lounging facilities with magazines to read. Enjoyed the place. Once they are up and running well. Should be a great place to visit. Hopefully will add some more vegetarian stuff on the menu.

Latest addition to the SXM
Latest addition to the SXM restaurant scene. It opened on Wednesday September 23 - and is the new Hot Spot on the Simpson Bay strip.
Not only the atmosphere, but also the service and the prices are a refreshing surprise. Excellent Argentinian Tenderloin for US 19.00 and a bottle of Argentinian Malbec for US 15.00. Hard to beat!
