As you step off the boat onto Ilet Pinel a white sand beach greets you. Sit in the shade of trees while your snorkel guide gives you a short briefing before fitting you with state-of-the-art equipment including an Amphicom snorkel which allows you to listen to an interesting narrative about the coral reef and its inhabitants as you snorkel.

Your guide helps you get comfortable with your gear in shallow water. As you glide slowly through the water the bottom will turn from sand to seagrass to reef. Try to count the school of tang, watch as a turtle has a snack, hover above a group of squid, wonder at the grace of an eagle ray…

After your snorkel tour you'll have a small snack and the chance to ask your guide questions about what you saw. The rest of the day is yours to explore. Suggestions on things to do? Eat at one of the three wonderful restaurants. Browse the small boutique. Do more snorkeling (equipment rental included). Hike the trails and explore the two pristine Pinel beaches. Swim in the shallow water off the main beach.
